~* Music, Dreams, Music, and Making Stuff *~

Music:
Aside from all the Drake, Sia, & Rihanna I've been drowning myself with, I've also had Nicki Minaj and Beyonce's new albums filling my ears. It's been like being whipped in to shape by Rihanna, while Beyonce teaches and lectures, and Nicki's just going off until my eyes get big, after which Drake softly scolds me into place so I can lick my wounds. And then Sia's there to wrap me in cotton. Or... something like that... >_>; Speaking of Rihanna and Nicki, my lover asked me,
"If you could make passionate love to one celebrity, who would it be?" I blushed, and finally said, "Well... It's a tie between Rihanna and Nicki Minaj..." We both blushed. ^_^;

Dreams:
Yeah~ I've been sleeping really weird, and having the oddest dreams. I even had a dream with Nicki Minaj and Freestyle Fellowship in it... And lots of rain before a premier. It's a long story. >_< If you don't ask you won't get unbelievable answers... I have to say though, the dream with them in it was WAY less weird than attending Marilyn Monroe's belated birthday party with my deceased grandpa. Yeah, like I said... No questions, no weird answers. Moving on~

Music & Dreamers:
It's always music time in my head. So, I thought I'd invite you to the mind of two people that are dear to me. One being my ultra talented cousin. I happen to run across his FB updates now and then. I'm always impressed when he  posts something he's recorded. He's always up to something, especially creative-wise. Simply put, I admire his work ethic and his style. You will too.

He is a wonderful lyricist... I really don't know what else to say about him, except that we went to high school together but never really got to talk much. ^_^;

Making Stuff:
I still... Haven't been able to sew. Everything is elsewhere right now. It's driving me mad. I haven't even gotten to draw since I've been here. Fucking SUCKS. Sucks dry dog food. I know last year I spent most of my time A) Being sick, and B) Modeling on the rare occasion that I actually felt well enough to do so, but to be honest, I don't care if I can't model for another YEAR. I'd rather be back to my old self, making stuff and doing things.

I'm pretty sure that since feeling so much better this year I'll actually be able to do everything I've been wanting to and more, but if I've got to choose? I think art and poetry deserve a year since modeling got one almost all to itself. Sewing goes in the art category btw. ^_^;

However, I have actually been writing a bunch this summer. I've been working on some stories I began a while ago. One I started back in 2008 about vampires (sort of, haha), and another that I started just last April based 1st in India, and then it moves to the USA. I did a few touch-ups and what-not on some other things I began writing years ago, but I'm going to try to focus on the main 2 right now. Other than that, I've just been writing poetry and songs (as usual) and trying to figure out what I really want to put all~ of my efforts into. But... More on that later. ^_^;

Speaking of which? 

My Chinese horoscope for today says...

I finally got to weed out most of the old stuff from the old blogs (elsewhere). Finally. *wipes sweat from brow* Phew!
It was truly wonderful reading all of the old entries (despite how effin' long it took - 2 days to be more exact). I don't really know what else to say except that so~ much has happened in the last few years, that I've got to update everyone on the 'dramatics' (hardy-har-har-har). ^_^;

What have I been up to in the last couple of months? To say the least, I spent lots of time with a little one, he's 5: Teaching him to cook, skateboard, and how to write his name and spell other things. I've watched way too many old movies (it IS summer after all, haha), and I've still been writing poetry when I can, and eating until I fall asleep, and listening to Drake's "Take Care" album, Rihanna's "Talk that Talk" album, all of Sia's Albums (♥) and Corrinne Bailey Rae's 1st album.

After being so sick all last year (and the years before that, just unknowingly), and after having been in the ER so many times over the allergy, I can finally say: I feel so... So much better.

Can't wait to move (again, again, again~ lol) so I can start sewing again...
Oh! And so I can give a bit more of an update. :P

A while back I got the chance to work with the oh-so talented Isaac Klotz, and the wickedly-unwritten Freestyle Fellowship. This music video was the vivid, and eclectic result.

The holey, cheetah-print pants adorned with chains were made by me the night prior to the shoot. Unfortunately they ripped on the set that night so I couldn't keep them. But, gah! You should have been there for THAT moment! ROFL I'm sure the director got an eye-full (sorry~ lol).

As it turns out, when I had my ex-seamstress finished hemming and seaming everything for me, she took the lazy route, and not only missed the seam mark by over half an inch, but also incorrectly seamed the crotch. Go figure. I'll do it myself from now on. :p No harm done though, I got the job done, and had fun doing it!

I had a great time working with everyone. A few people (not in the group) that I can't help but mention each time I speak of this would be: Trevasia Walls, for her energy and wit. It kept me going when the wind was cutting at my bare skin. The night was cold and cold weather can kill morale. Not with this girl around! ^_^ Two other fantastic people I met that night was: Orlando Collins. He was so friendly, polite, and funny. And also, a friend of his named Lehn Kessen - A fluent speaker of French (a language I've always wanted to learn).

I can't name everyone I met due to the limited time spent on the beach that night around the bonfire (the names of the pitbulls, or the guy who owned them - or for example, the name of the guy that reminded me of  Drake that I had the Gluten Free chat with, etc). But I'll never forget that night or the people involved.
