'About to re-up on my mission,
Show a little more ambition.
Since I'm not on my death bed anymore,
I think I probably might could listen
To a lecture and some stories,
And not think it all so boring.
Hell I could even say that I might even
Learn something worth knowing.
Maybe show something worth showing.
Maybe light a bomb worth blowing,
just to go and show the universe
their own beauties are glowing,
hoping, growing, still unknowing.
Still reaching for the sun each morning.
Still aiming at the moon each night,
still hearing black birds crowing.
One day I'll fly away with them,
as the sun rises that faithful morning...
Until then I've become paper thin.
Like the lanterns - Fires burning.
Quietly hurrying...'
